Latest Apprenticeship Trends [Thursday, 18 March 2004]
New research shows 'traditional apprenticeships' in trades such as carpentry and plumbing remain a major employment choice for young men.
Of the 115,400 'traditional apprentices' in 2002 most were male (101,600) and under 25 years of age (101,200). The research looks at trends over the last six years and was produced by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research.
